All eyes on Trauma… but where is the real content?

Working with your traumas, especially the big ones, might bring you to your knees in understanding how much you ignored and fooled yourself. But on a long run will help you become whole and healthy, with a new awareness about yourself and the others, about the whole world and its own failing structures and toxic manifestations.

I am a little bit obsessed with this topic, but since I have started to understand what it is all about and also to work on my own trauma biography and healing I became very sensitive to all that people wish to hide behind the word…TRAUMA!
I see and meet many people who call themselves trauma-informed: coaches, therapists, tantra facilitators, womb healers, energy activators, medicine women and men, etc. etc….so many names given to so many methods and practices.
And I wonder what exactly means for them to be trauma-informed…to just read some books or listen to some experts speaking about trauma or to do the real deep work on their own traumas?

I say this because I am used to listening to the unspoken words behind attitudes, marketing publicity and frequency of posting, blogging, advertising, newsletter writing and how this happens. I can sometimes read the energy of the person and how much they hid only based on a picture…it is a gift that working with the morphogenetic field and the womb space brought to me.

I do not see myself as a specialist or expert in trauma, but for more than 5 years I have been seriously working with traumas, mine and of the others. I am deeply aware how much work needs to be done and I am honest to the others when I make my offerings by saying that there is no quick fix, that implies continuous and systematic investment of time, energy and not for the last of money.

It always surprises me to listen to cliche sentences from alternative people – oh, I have been working for more than 20 or 30 years but I still have or manifest this symptom, disease, imbalance, depression etc. And what they do not know is that most of the time this manifestation is just a survival strategy from their own traumas. They conform and get used to this, even if painful or energy depleting…because it is how they cope with a deeper pain and discomfort they are still not ready to face. Other people create their own business and marketing strategy based on this kind of survival strategy from past trauma…as it fuels their own coping mechanisms and creates the illusion of productivity and success. Or they simply get used to frequent certain festivals, workshops or gurus/guides that will do the same – as they provide some soothing energy and instant gratification to their inner or body state, but not a real solution…the pattern, symptom or illness will continue to manifest anyway.

It is easy to say I am trauma informed. But this practically does not mean much, unless you did trauma work on yourself and really educated yourself in a method or system that brings trauma awareness and real healing.

Today I am asking yourself to be honest with yourself and the others. If you did not really do any trauma work inquire and find the therapist to support you unravel what your body and psyche hold inside. I can assure you they hold a lot and most of times the most painful and difficult things are hidden deep inside…in so many layers.

Working with your traumas, especially the big ones, might bring you to your knees in understanding how much you ignored and fooled yourself. But on a long run will help you become whole and healthy, with a new awareness about yourself and the others, about the whole world and its own failing structures and toxic manifestations. At a certain point you will not even feel the need to show to others that you are trauma-informed as you will simply be.

Start now so you can rebuild your healthy identity, get out of illusions and deconstruct survival strategies that are harmful. One day you will understand that this re-connection with your intimate essence as a human being is the most precious gift you can take from life, after life itself. Nothing out of this world, just a simple awareness that you are human and highly complex even in what your traumas are concerned.

So it is…blessed be your heart!

Becoming acquainted with Death

I have been thinking a lot lately to what means to Live and Die. The impermanence of Life is no always acknowledged unless we meet Death in a form or another or we just foresee it as an ultimate End of Life. In shamanic cultures Death is not to be feared, but embraced and sought as a teacher. Many rituals and ceremonies involve the concept of dying and being re-born into something else, a new state, a new awareness, a new body.

The Womb is not a place to store fear and pain! The Womb is a place to create and give birth to life!

The Womb is not a place to store fear and pain! The Womb is a place to create and give birth to life!

These two sentences are the core message of a 13 Moon Munay ki rite I received while ago in Glastonbury in the Temple of the Goddess and since then I am giving it away for free to other women that I meet on my path. It is a rite of healing offered to humanity by medicine women from Amazonian forests. It asks us to open to the mysteries of the Womb and heal those wounds that we have stored for so long, preventing us from living a fulfilling, happy and abundant life.
